Medication Drop-Off

Safely dispose of unused or expired medications.

Location: Sonoma Police Station, 175 First St. West
Drop Box Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No appointment necessary

Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Site

Central Disposal Site – Petaluma

Open: Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Directions from Sonoma:

Take Hwy 101 to the Cotati off-ramp
Take Hwy 116 west toward Sebastopol
Left on Stony Point South
Right on Mecham Road – site is on the right

Transport Guidelines:

Maximum of 15 gallons of liquids (no more than 5 gallons per container) or 125 pounds of solids
Do not mix chemicals
Use sealed containers, packed to prevent spills
Sharps must be in sealed, labeled sharps containers

Not Accepted:

Electronics, explosives, ammunition, radioactive materials, biological waste (except syringes), controlled substances
