Residential Recycling Regulations

Sort It Sonoma!

In partnership with the City of Sonoma, our Sort It Sonoma program supports state-mandated waste sorting under SB 1383 by providing clear and practical guidelines for separating your green (organic), blue (recycling), and gray (trash) carts. When organic materials and recyclables are properly sorted, they are kept out of landfills, which helps reduce greenhouse gases, creates compost for local farms and gardens, and contributes to a cleaner, healthier community. Sonoma Garbage Collectors is always here to help. If you need a compost pail or sorting assistance, just let us know.
